Anime is very appreciated and you can get a great deal of enjoyment out of it but most of it is deeply sexist. Admittedly there is a way of leaning towards a typical female roles in anime as they do in Japane, however most of the old preferred ones still feature women as perpetually happy cooks, homemakers, nurses, mothers or wives. And if it not the case at least one of the above, is desperately striving to be more than anything else.
prohibited, this is perhaps a reflection of Japanese social attitudes, which are rather sexist themselves involving working women and women who postpone marriage are looked down on as being “abnormal”. There are lots of strong female role models in anime!
The “strong” women most otaku talk about tend to fit into two categories; either they are in bikinis (or equally revealing clothing), or they are not set on their ambitions and keeping a man.

Lucky star doujins are extreme loli and when you first watch the series, you will think that they were all about 10 or 12, but when you read that they were 17 or 18 and also konota’s cousin Yutaka is 15, you won’t believe it!
Hentai is a sexual art, but art none the less and it’s not like it makes people do whatever their fantasy happen to be. Or at least the smart people
